Gore ePE Membrane Features for A/W ‘22

Share:

Gore’s new expanded Polyethylene (ePE) membrane, suitable for various consumer product uses, comes to market this season. The innovative Gore-Tex membrane combines durable performance with eco attributes. According to the company, this innovation represents a key milestone in Gore’s sustainability journey.

For example, the membrane is light and thin yet strong, and features waterproof, windproof and breathable weather protection. It is also PFC free, advancing Gore Fabrics Divisions’ goal for being free of PFCs of Environmental Concern over the lifecycle of its consumer products. Further, the membrane has a reduced carbon footprint (per Higg MSI) achieved by its lower material mass along with new material combination; The company explains that its ePE membrane is bonded to carefully selected backers and/or face textiles, for example, recycled, solution dyed or undyed fabrics, to form a Gore-Tex laminate.

New Gore-Tex products with the ePE membrane will be introduced in Autumn/Winter ‘22 season from brands including adidas, Arc’Teryx, Dakine, Patagonia, Reusch, Salomon and Ziener in general outdoor and lifestyle garments, lifestyle footwear and snow sports gloves.

Gore is releasing a new digital media campaign to support the introduction of new GORE-TEX Products. To view the campaign video visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kECeU74A3hs
