Erem Steps Up Sustainability and Staffing

Share:

Sustainable footwear brand Erem has announced four new hires to keep pace with rapid growth. Launched last November, Erem’s eco vision is seen in all aspects of the company’s ethos, from development to end-of-life solutions. Erem applies its Biocircular standard to every product it sells, meaning the footwear firm uses only materials with “paths back to nature” and provides each Erem product a “seamless and responsible next life.” Erem’s boot styles are constructed using recycled rubber, biodegradable foam made from corn, and organic cotton.  Customers can return worn products to Erem, where components are deconstructed for reuse and recycling.

Erem’s recent marketing team hires include: Sofia DeWolfe, Jeff LaBonte, Nick Wheeler and Emily Macon. DeWolfe previously served as the marketing manager at Chums, maker of eyewear retainer and outdoor accessories, and now joins Erem as the brand’s digital marketing manager. LaBonte has been named senior marketing manager. He was recently brand marketing manager at Vail Resorts and prior to that worked in several brand marketing positions including with Eagle Creek and JanSport. Nick Wheeler is the new director of growth marketing, and Emily Macon joins the Erem team as a marketing coordinator, providing consumer insights from the field to assist brand-building efforts.
