Cordura Collab in FR Development

Cordura, in collaboration with FR specialist Daletec, has launched Extreme X fabric, which features inherent flame protection with excellent comfort and long-lasting performance. Three years in development and “lab to life” branded tested, executives at both companies believe Extreme X levels up the industry standard of durable thermal hazard worker protection.
“This development ushers in a new generation of durable yet lightweight performance FR,” states Cindy McNaull, Invista Cordura brand business development director. Erland Hesjedal-Johannessen, Daletec brand manager, adds, “This is the most futuristic launch in the utility market.”
Daletec Extreme X, powered by Cordura fiber technology, allows enhanced freedom of movement with enhanced abrasion resistance. The Cordura fabric is developed to last 2.5 times longer than other FR materials, maintains integrity longer, and loses mass at a much slower rate compared to competitive offerings.
Founded in 1879, Daletec is a Norwegian-based textile manufacturer that has been processing FR materials since 1954. Sales, R&D, lab and testing work remains in Norway, with production taking place at Sapphire Mills in Pakistan.
Targeted for EU workers in electrical power generation and utilities where multi-risk performance and maximum protection from hazards is important, Daletec Extreme X is available in hi-visibility yellow as well as navy and black – with fabrics meeting EN 20471 contrast.
