Step Into Style

Looking good and feeling good is the name of the game in sandal styles for this summer and next spring. In this peek at Spring ’23 sandal styles (along with some current standouts), brands showcase innovation in materials, uppers, fit and midsole tech in sandals built for a range of uses — from recovery, to the trail, to a night out on the town. 

Arcopedico

Featuring Arcopedico’s signature knit material, the Arenal boasts an upper made from recycled materials and has a cork and latex midsole. It is part of Arcopedico’s efforts to promote a sustainable future through eco-friendly footwear. The $105 sandal is a Spring 2022 style that will carry over to 2023. 

Enjoiya

The Seashore Textured Sandal, $119.95, has a lightweight TPR outsole with TPR bottom, genuine leather, wrapped footbed and three adjustable buckles for ease of wear. This spring/summer sandal combines stylish detailing, maximum comfort and an ultimate fit. 

Rieker

The Jolanda 01 is a lightweight, on-trend sandal with a multiple material rose and neutral color upper. Set to debut in July 2023, the style is built with a durable, flexible, polyurethane outsole. It also has a contoured soft footbed, and a leather and synthetic adjustable quarter strap upper for a perfect fit. 

Astral

Inspired by the needs of class V river guides, the $125 PFD Sandal combines the secure and adjustable fit of Astral’s award-winning life jackets with the Balanced Geometry and G Rubber grip of the brand’s popular Loyak water shoes. The sandal also has an antimicrobial midsole and recycled upper. 

Geox

Cushioned and breathable, the Xand 2S sandal for men, $120, delivers not only style, but also breathability, comfort and cushioning. The versatile black-leather upper gives it active/casual crossover style, and the upper blends well with a matching sole, making this sandal a fashionable solution for any outfit.

Naot

The Fresno is a toe loop slide sandal featuring two-tone straps. With an oversized leather wrapped buckle that makes a statement, the $145 Fresno also has hidden gore attached to the buckle for extra adjustability. Naot’s anatomic cork and latex footbed is wrapped in a pampering suede and molds to the shape of the foot with wear. 

Ecco

Built to be an outdoor staple, this version of the brand’s Exowrap sandal is a water-friendly style set to launch in Spring ’23. It features a grippy, rugged rubber outsole and has subtle reflective ribbons and detailing, along with convenient adjustability via three quick-fastening straps. The $120 sandal is built on an anatomical last, following the natural shape of the foot with its Ecco Fluidform tech. 

PowerStep

Delivering comfort and support without sacrificing style, PowerStep’s ArchWear Fashion Sandals, $67.50, have built-in arch support, along with a cushioned footbed, non-skid bottom and an integrated heel cup. The Fashion Sandals also boast patent leather accents and a stylish O-ring adornment. Plus, the sandals have a two-way adjustable strap for a better fit.

Finn Comfort

Part of the Finn Mellow collection, the $295 Barbuda sandal has a premium full grain leather upper, adjustable hook-and-loop straps across the forefoot and instep, and an adjustable snap buckle around the heel to ensure a great fit. The footbed is the softest of the brand’s footbed options, made of premium suede, jute and cork.

Halsa

Designed to offer a personalized sandal style, the Denia has three fully adjustable hook-and-loop strap strategically placed to provide optimal support for an open-toe sandal. Its design provides lasting comfort and a distinct design that flatters every foot. Its Equilibrium + Technology keeps feet properly aligned and supported.

Oofos

The OOmega OOlala, $89.95, is a women’s platform sandal that is a versatile, modern take on the brand’s traditional OOlala active recovery sandal. Featuring the same proprietary OOfoam technology and patented footbed design - the addition of the Mega midsole delivers an extra 15mm of impact-absorbing OOfoam technology. 

Teva

An earth-friendly sandal that affords a lighter footprint, thanks to its recycled EVA midsole/topsole and RPET webbing, the $80 Zymic sports a wider platform for stability and ups the ante with puffier straps for foot-hugging comfort. 

Vionic

One of two styles in the brand’s new Recovery Sandal collection, Vionic’s Restore sandal, $79.95, features dual density cushioning for Three-Zone Comfort experience and arch support. It has textured footbeds for massaging relief, oversized side walls for max cushioning, and deep heel cups for stability. 

Dansko

A dressier sandal, the $140 Janelle features leather uppers and a full grain leather wrapped contoured EVA footbed burnished for a vintage look, chrome-free leather linings for all day comfort, and a lightweight rubber outsole for long lasting wear. This Spring ’23 style also has adjustability at the forefoot and the ankle strap.

Xelero

Designed to be the ultimate comfort sandal, the Xelero Mykonos, $219.99, has four adjustable strap’s for a perfect fit. Xelero technology delivers stability and cushioning with a dynamic forward motion. Plus, the sandal has supple leather uppers and linings, a contoured Cork-EVA footbed, and a slip-resistant rubber outsole.

Skechers 

Delivering the ideal combination of style and comfort, the Skechers GO WALK Arch Fit - Sweet Bliss is a slide sandal with a breathable space dyed knit upper, a supportive Arch Fit contoured footbed and lightweight, responsive ULTRA GO cushioning. 

Alegria

The Vienna in Earthy Bloom, $119.95, is a Spring/Summer ’23 style from Alegria that delivers on style, comfort and fit. It features two points of adjustability for a customized fit and boasts the brand’s patented interlocking Classic footbed that molds to the foot for extra comfort. 

Dansko

The Rosette, $110, is a new open back sport inspired sandal  for Spring ’23. The fully adjustable style is engineered for all day comfort, and is built on the outsole of the brand’s popular Pace walking shoe. It features an energy-return EVA footbed with Dansko Natural Arch Plus tech.
