New year, new takes on the red-hot casual sneaker style trend. Whether for light workouts, walks around the block, kicking it on the couch or at the office, these new styles combine a cool factor to go along with innovative tech. There’s comfort, cushioning, breathability, and more in 2022’s latest stylish sneaker offerings.


The Solar sneaker by Ziera, $209.95, is a stylish, casual option for year-round wear. The durable leather upper features both a zip and lace fastening, and the shoe’s removable Super Support footbed can be swapped for the wearer’s own orthotics. The footbed features flexible, shock-absorbing PU with arch support, metatarsal cushioning and a contoured heel cup with a wider, deeper fit for stability.


The $150 Spherica Man sneaker from GEOX is cushioned and breathable with a sleek aesthetic. It boasts an upper in a navy-blue knitted-effect fabric, Zero-Shock Pads for impact protection , and a removable foot bed.


Ready for adventure, the Fraser features a knitted Australian Merino wool upper, a wool lined footbed and an elastic lace system. An all-terrain outsole provides flexibility and grip.


The Zurich is a new men’s style from Xelero for Fall ’22. With its Euro style aesthetic, this leather-lined sneaker, $259.99, combines casual style with the tech Xelero is known for — providing stability and control and promoting forward motion.

Finn Comfort

Combining comfort with style, Finn’s Piccadilly walking shoe in Black and Gold Nubuck and Leather, $405, has a contoured footbed made with suede and cork/latex. Its footbed can be removed for either a replacement Finn Comfort footbed (choose from soft or regular) or a custom orthotic.


A fashionable, light-weight knit sneaker, Naot’s $155 Galaxy has a removable cork and latex footbed for all-day comfort. It features a slip resistant sole and uses a hand-sewn Strobel construction for flexibility and durability.

Soft Comfort

Sporty and stylish, the Leslee Multi Gore Active Casual Slip-On Sneaker ($49.99) is comfortable and easy-to-wear. Soft Comfort’s value-priced option is designed to be a casual wardrobe staple.


Designed for comfort on the move, the Fall ’22 Mōshn Pulse in Black Oyster Camo, $170, features the brand’s Dynamic Motion Technology, which has stability in the heel and an enhanced toe spring that naturally moves the wearer forward. A TRUComofort insole delivers cushion and support.


Rocking an urban outdoor vibe, Rieker’s lightweight and comfortable Angela ($120) sneaker has eye-catching outsole and midsole details to go along with an on-trend green upper. Plus, it has a scuba lining.


A walking shoe with a colorful vibe, the Amiata from Waldläufer combines both athletic and outdoorsy style with its suede leather/textile upper. The shoe is breathable and water-repellant.


Sustainable and stylish, Alexandria, $169.95, is part of the new ara a-round collection for Spring/Summer ’22. The shoes use chrome-free tanned leathers, direct injected soles without adhesives and laces made from PET bottles.


Launching this spring in fun colors, the $120 Gaia is an easy fit sneaker made entirely from recycled materials. It is vegan and machine washable, and features a removable insole.


Penni in Coral, $140, available in June, is a performance walking shoe loaded with features for support, comfort and acceleration through the walking step. The footbed’s Dansko Natural Arch Plus tech offers support and stability.

The Flexx

The Hi Tide Too ($165) sports an elevated, clean look. The leather sneaker is wrapped with a high walled rubber sole and a whisper of jute that is top stitched. A touch of perforation completes the look.
