California-based swim and fitness brand TYR Sport has opened its first brick-and-mortar retail location at Roosevelt Field in Garden City, NY, on Long Island. Known for its roots in swimming, TYR’s active offerings have grown to include not only swimming apparel and gear, but also fitness apparel and fitness-focused performance footwear. The new 2,200-plus square foot retail space at Roosevelt Field, a premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination, showcases a comprehensive range of TYR's products. "Venturing into brick-and-mortar retail showcases our commitment to broaden the TYR community, and we are eager to further this growth with another upcoming location set to open at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California in November," stated TYR CEO, Matt DiLorenzo.

VF Corp. has appointed Trevor Edwards, who served as president of Nike, Inc. from 2013 until 2018, to its board of directors. Edwards, currently a strategic advisor to direct-to-consumer brand and investment firms, began his 25-year career at Colgate Palmolive in 1986. His earlier Nike roles included chief marketing officer and VP of marketing for the EMEA.
