The Skechers Foundation continued its Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk’s 12-year fundraising commitment to children with special needs and education during COVID-19, raising over $1.8 million for its first-ever virtual event – boosting its donation total to over $15 million for children to date. The annual event was celebrated by Skechers executives and foundation donation recipients, who participated in a socially distanced check presentation at Skechers’ retail store in Manhattan Beach, California on Tuesday, February 9.


Oboz Footwear has partnered with North Carolina-based Black Folks Camp Too (BFCT) — as part of the partnership, Oboz will advise BFCT on the footwear segments of its Digital Education Initiative, while BFCT will assist and advise Oboz with its Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion work.


Recovery footwear brand Oofos partnered with the purpose-driven lifestyle brand re-inc on an exclusive collab launching today. The re-inc brand was founded by four US Women’s World Cup Champions: Christen Press, Megan Rapinoe, Meghan Klingenberg and Tobin Heath. The collab features a limited-edition OOah SportFlex Sandal featuring the re-inc logo.


Hibbett Sports/City Gear, slated to report full-year FY21 results on March 5, reported a 21.9 percent increase in fourth quarter comparable sales that was higher than guidance of a high-single to low-double digit improvement. New customer retention, the ability to effectively manage in-demand footwear/apparel/accessories and incremental government stimulus payments to consumers contributed to the strong performance in the period ended Jan. 29.
