Moccasin meets sneaker in the new Forager from Winnipeg, Manitoba-based brand Manitobah. The $160 men’s style, new for Spring 2023, is lightweight and suitable for indoors, outdoors, trail or city. The outsole was designed by Diné artist Dewayne Dale Jr. to reflect the mesas in his homeland on the Navajo Nation. Founded in 1997, Manitobah is a global brand rooted in Indigenous culture that aims to honor and make a positive impact in Indigenous communities. The brand makes traditionally crafted mukluks, moccasins and accessories.

New Balance last week unveiled plans to invest $65 million in its Skowhegan, Maine factory, which it purchased in 1981. The investment comes due to a rising demand for U.S.-made footwear, according to NB. The company intends to add 120,000 sq. ft. of space, renovate 20,000 square feet, and add 200 more jobs at the center that currently employs 250. The project should be completed by the end of 2024.
