In The News: HOKA, Allbirds, Mizuno

HOKA has signed a multi-year agreement to be the premier level footwear and apparel partner of the UTMB World Series. The new global trail running series is set to launch in 2022 with events held across six continents, including at least four events in North and South America. The partnership is official through 2023, with options to extend to 2024 and beyond.


Allbirds is aiming to raise $309.6 million through the sale of more than 22.1 million common shares at an opening price of $14 during its IPO. The company is projecting revenues of $61.0-62.5 million for its Q3 ended Sep. 30 with a projected net loss of $15-18 million for the period. Allbirds generated 89 percent of its FY20 revenues of $219.3 million from the digital channel.


Mizuno has added volleyball player Kathryn Plummer to its endorser roster. She will play and train exclusively in the brand’s footwear and apparel. Plummer joins the brand’s growing roster of female athletes, which also includes volleyball athletes Sherridan Atkinson, Tiffany Clark and Kendall White, as well as former MMA superstar Ronda Rousey, volleyball Olympian April Ross and softball Olympian Jennie Finch.
