In The News: Hi-Tec, Durango, Eagle Creek

Heritage outdoor footwear, apparel, and accessories brand Hi-Tec is the new title sponsor  of the Run Catalina race series, which will now be called the Hi-Tec Run Catalina Series. Through this three-year partnership, Hi-Tec will have a prominent presence on-site and within the marketing efforts of Run Catalina's popular portfolio of races, including the Catalina Island Half Marathon, the Avalon 50K/50M Benefit Run, and the Catalina Island Marathon. 

With the Run Catalina partnership, Hi-Tec signals a return to its long legacy in the hiking and running categories. The brand’s current Trail Destroyer family of footwear offers trail-capable technologies at an accessible price point. And plans are in place for Hi-Tec to introduce a new collection of footwear designed for trail running later in 2023.


Durango Boots has added a women’s pink ribbon boot, the 12” Western Pink Ribbon Sepia Blush, to its Crush collection benefitting breast cancer research. Additionally, the company is continuing with its comfort and performance-driven Lady Rebel Pink Western Boot that features an embroidered pink ribbon. Proceeds from the sale of both Durango pink ribbon boot styles will benefit the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center in Columbus, OH.  


Eagle Creek, the adventure travel gear company known for its luggage, packs and bags, has launched a new, national distribution deal for Canada with In-Sport Fashions. Montreal-based In-Sport, which specializes in skiwear, footwear, outdoor equipment and fashion sportswear, will distribute Eagle Creek products through retail partners and a Direct-To-Consumer model. The deal is expected to provide Canadian customers of the brand with wider product availability and improved, in-market customer support.
