In The News: Enjoiya, Secret Celebrity, FitFlop, Mountain Hardwear, SIA, Tilly’s

The Enjoiya Group is ready to run. The designer, manufacturer, and distributor of women's footwear brands Enjoiya, Secret Celebrity, and Soft Comfort, unveiled two new functional running sneaker collections from the Enjoiya and Secret Celebrity brands. The product debuted in Spring/Summer 2021 on a limited basis, and is rolling out in a broader assortment for Fall 21 and Spring 22. Pictured above is the Secret Celebrity MIA runner, which features a removable insole and raised arch support. Prices for MIA styles range from $69.99 to $89.99. Also included in the running sneaker collections are styles in the Enjoiya Val-Venosta series. Featuring Extralight performance comfort outsoles, offerings within the Val-Venosta series include the Val-Venosta, a kaleidoscope perforated lace- up running sneaker; the Val-Gardina, a snake lace-up version; and the Val-Tellina; a double gore causal sneaker. Val-Venosta prices range from $129.95 to $199.95.


Mountain Hardwear, the outdoor performance equipment and apparel brand owned by Columbia Sportswear, has appointed Troy Sicotte as president. Sicotte, who had served as the brand’s VP of sales for the past three years, joined Mountain Hardwear in 2018. Earlier in his career, he spent over 11 years with The North Face in various leadership roles, including as the Director of Sales: Footwear and Director of Sales: National Outdoor & Sporting Goods. Prior to that, he held various wholesale positions at Birkenstock.


Snowsports Industries America (SIA) has postponed its inaugural Snowbound Festivals, which were set for Denver and Boston this November, citing the recent resurgence of the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing impact on public health, gatherings and travel. The consumer trade events are now scheduled to be held in-person in November 2022. SIA created the Snowbound Festivals to drive new participation and create a direct connection between the winter industry and outdoor enthusiasts. “Our team is increasing efforts to build an even stronger digital community and online consumer experience this coming season,” stated Nick Sargent, president of SIA.


Tilly’s footwear sales fell by single digits in Q2 ended July 31 as the chain’s ecommerce sales for the period declined to 18.5 percent of all revenues versus 38.3 percent in Q2/20. Comparable store sales rose 10.6 percent in Q2 as total revenues increased nearly 49 percent year-over-year to more than $201.9 million.
