In The News: Enjoiya Group, Tillys, Zumiez


The Enjoiya Group, designer, manufacturer, and distributor of  women's footwear brands Enjoiya, Secret Celebrity and Soft Comfort, is launching an indoor-outdoor slipper collection for Fall/Winter 2021. The slippers will boast indoor-outdoor functionality, comfort and style. The new collections were introduced to the retail community in February and will be available to consumers in August. Going forward, comfort slippers will be an integral component of both the Soft Comfort and Enjoiya brands. Footwear was among the strongest categories for retail chain Tillys in Q4 as category comp net sales rose by a double-digit percentage. TLYS credited the improvement to the introduction of several new brands without identifying them.

At Zumiez, footwear was the chain’s largest negative comping category during its Q4 as sales of hardgoods rose to 19 percent of period revenues. According to figures culled from its recently filed annual report, Zumiez footwear sales fell to 13 percent of its annual revenues in 2020, or an implied $128.8 million. That represents a 4.2 percent drop from $134.44 million in 2019 when footwear equaled 18 percent of all company revenues.
