Boot Book: New Rules

The outdoor boot has been redefined. No longer dominated by traditional hiking boot silhouettes, performance hiking styles range from mid to low-cut heights, and pack in plenty of athletic tech
and aesthetic. Outdoor lifestyle boots span the same diverse spectrum. When it comes to outdoor boot style, brands are rewriting the rules. And we’re here for it.

“The biggest trend we are seeing right now is a combination of functionality and style. With what is happening right now we are seeing a lot of technical gear and hardgoods selling at amazing rates. For footwear, people are looking to match that technical element but want something you can wear all day. It’s a hybridization of technical features and street appeal. We are designing and creating product from the top of the mountain down. Peak to pint.” — Thomas Dixon National Sales/Product Manager, Outdoor – Ecco USA
