Joe Dudy, a 25-year veteran of Chicago-based sports equipment brand Wilson Sporting Goods, has been promoted to president. He was named acting leader of the Wilson brand in October 2019 following the departure of Michael Dowse. Dudy began his Wilson career as VP of finance in 2005.

In May, Wilson initiated a global partnership with the NBA and WNBA. The brand’s status as the league’s official game ball will commence during the NBA’s 75th season in 2021-2022. Wilson’s longtime Finnish parent, Amer Sports, was acquired by a consortium led by China’s publicly traded Anta Sports in late March 2019 for approximately $5.2 billion.
