USA Rugby Enters Apparel Deal With UK-based Castore

While still a relatively minor sport for most team dealers, rugby is in a growth mode and bears watching, so the news that USA Rugby has entered into a six-year apparel deal with UK-based sportswear company Castore will have an impact on domestic supply and demand.
The sports performance wear company becomes the official apparel partner for the senior men’s and women’s Eagles and all junior national teams. Players will wear their uniforms this spring with additional designs launching for Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2021 in September.
USA Rugby becomes Castore’s second national rugby team, joining several established partnerships that include Samoa Rugby, Saracens, Sir Andy Murray, Adam Peaty, Newcastle United and England Cricket. Castore also recently signed a partnership with McLaren Formula 1 to further diversify its portfolio.
“This partnership is an exciting start to a new year and a new chapter for USA Rugby,” says USA Rugby CEO Ross Young. “As we continue to grow on the world stage, we look forward to having a partner that not only delivers a compelling portfolio in design technology, but also one that believes in investing in the growth of American rugby over the next several years.”
