Trigon Sports Acquires Practice Partner

Trigon Sports has acquired the assets, supply chain and customer base of Practice Partner, located in Wilmington, NC. The merged business will operate out of Memphis, TN.

The combined entities will bring additional depth to the existing ProCage/Trigon Sports product line and expand its network of team sports dealers across the country.

Practice Partner was founded in 1982 by Joseph Rajacich, a father of two Little League ball players, who saw the need for a better way to practice at home. Under the leadership of his sons, Alex and Andrew, the Practice Partner group of products expanded into a full line of team sports training aids.

“I am so happy to see our great friends at Trigon Sports revitalize the Practice Partner name and look forward to seeing them continue to develop products that advance the skills of athletes,” says Andrew Rajacich.

“We are excited to acquire the Practice Partner name and product line,” adds Chris Bawcum, Trigon Sports VP. “We have personally known the Rajacichs for nearly 20 years.”

Jonathan Bawcum, also VP of Trigon Sports, adds: “Expanding into the backyard practice market proved invaluable during the past year as team sports were delayed or cancelled. The acquisition of Practice Partner allows us the ability to offer quality practice equipment to athletes at all levels of play. Trigon Sports will continue to look for growth opportunities within our industry.”

Trigon Sports is a family-owned and operated business founded in 2007 with the vision of providing high-quality sports. Trigon Sports’ products are marketed via a catalog, B2B and B2C e-commerce website, and a network of team sports dealers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
