Wisconsin-based Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Inc., the manufacturer of Thorogood job-fitted footwear recently announced the realignment of its sales management team. Jason Taran, formerly Public Safety and Military Sales Manager has been named Sales Manager for Thorogood Work and Commercial Military divisions. Matt Bahlow has been tabbed as Sales Manager for Thorogood’s Public Safety division and Andy Place has been named Sales Manager for Thorogood’s Outdoor sales division.

Taran started with Weinbrenner in 2017 and most recently served as Director of Sales for Public Safety and Commercial Military divisions. Bahlow started with Weinbrenner in 2012 as a Customer Service Representative. Place joined the company in July 2020.

Meanwhile, Montana-based Oboz has announced several new hires and promotions in product, sales, and operations as the brand looks to foster its continued growth.

Julie Ham Elliott joins Oboz as National Sales Manager, where she will be responsible for helping lead the sales teams as well as focus on international markets. Ham Elliott has more than 10 years of experience in the outdoor market, including eight years as Key Account Manager at Merrell Footwear.

John Nehring has joined Oboz as Planning Analyst. Nehring’s responsibilities will include working to evolve purchasing processes as well as improving forecasting and ensuring that demand and supply match. Nehring joins Oboz from Simms Fishing Products where he was a production planner.

Oboz also announced two internal promotions. Dan Wehunt has been promoted to Director of Merchandising and Development from Product Line Manager. Steve Lowry has been promoted to Sales and Operational Planning Manager. Lowry was previously Sales and Operational Planning Analyst.
