Summer OR Show Moves to August

Outdoor Retailer is moving its summer trade show from June to August 10-12, 2021. The show is scheduled to be held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. Show organizers said the change in date was made to facilitate a safe and successful in-person event.

“The health, safety, and well-being of our community remains our primary focus as we plan for the Outdoor Retailer Summer show,” said Marisa Nicholson, Outdoor Retailer senior vice president and show director.

An in-person event would be OR’s first since Jan. 2020 (the Summer 2020 and Winter 2021 shows were digital events rather than in-person due to COVID). “This industry is eager to reunite and get back to the productive, in-person business they find at the show,” said Nicholson. “Shifting two months later allows more time for exhibitors and attendees to plan participation, while offering reassurance and a greater peace-of-mind in the opportunity to gather again.

The August outdoor trade show calendar is suddenly looking busy. There is another outdoor trade show also scheduled for August – The Big Gear Show’s inaugural trade event is scheduled for August 3-5 in Park City, UT. The Big Gear Show is an invitation-only, multi-category trade event for the paddlesports, cycling, climbing, and camping markets.
