On Is Opening Stores in FL and VA

On Holdings, the publicly traded Swiss company is expanding its direct reach to U.S. consumers later this year through the opening of new brand stores in Williamsburg, VA, and Miami, FL. On currently has a partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods that has the brand distributed in 58 Dick’s locations and is generating the brand’s highest apparel market share of any retail partner.

In Q1, On reported 78 percent revenue growth to the equivalent of $468.8 million and net income of $49.5 million. Wholesale revenues rose by 86.0 percent to the equivalent of $315.9 million and direct-to-consumer sales were 64 percent higher at $152.8 million. Footwear sales increased by 80 percent to the equivalent of $452.4 million. Apparel sales, strongest in the DTC channel and in new markets, rose by 49 percent to $18.9 million. Americas’ revenues rose by nearly 92 percent to the equivalent of $301.4 million in the period ended March 31 on strong demand in both the wholesale and Direct-To-Consumer channels.

This spring, for the first time, On, which says 45 percent of its U.S. run specialty business is made up of four styles, launched youth styles of footwear. On’s foray into youth footwear includes a Cloud Play style for kids aged 4-8 and a Cloud Sky style designed for ages 8-15.
