MICAM Milano Digital Show Begins March 8

The two-month MICAM Milano virtual event, which will run from March 8 through May 8, has been designed to provide footwear brands and buyers with an online platform to meet and communicate with each other. The digital show will present trends for Fall/Winter 21/22 and other developments in the footwear sector. International footwear brands will have access to MICAM Milano’s global community to network, invite clients to the platform and utilize digital management tools to customize their products.

MICAMX, a laboratory focused on innovation and ideas in the footwear universe, is also part of the virtual experience being offered by MICAM, and WGSN will be offering up footwear trends exclusively for MICAM attendees. Among them—Sustainability is now the rule and Natural colors combined with the colors of autumn are central to a New Mythologies trend.

The first digital edition of MICAM Milano in Sept. 2020 was attended by 2,500+ international footwear buyers and showcased 154 brands. Meanwhile, a traditional, in-person edition of Milan’s MICAM show is being organized for Sept. 19-21, an event that show organizers hope “will mark the beginning of a new era, a fresh start for the footwear industry worldwide.”
