Maternity Footwear on its Way from Ollie Gray

A new maternity line of footwear is on its way from maternity wear brand Ollie Gray. The first shoe, the OG Sneaker, is an athleisure style that is designed to flex and mold to meet the changing needs of pregnant and postpartum women, such as swollen feet and weight fluctuation.

The footwear is created in collaboration with footwear designer Jeff Henderson of New York-based creative agency AndThem — Henderson has previously designed shoes for Nike, Yeezy, Under Armour, Converse, Allbirds, KOIO and Everlane.

The OG Sneaker incorporates four key features: Flexibility - An adaptable design molds to feet as they change during each phase of pregnancy and beyond; Support – A Vibram sole provides extra support, comfort, and stability throughout the foot and arch; Breathability - Lightweight fabrication is perfect for all-day wear; and Style - A modern, easy-on-off silhouette features elastic laces with a lateral and medial lacing system to provide better flexibility, support and comfort, while the tightening pull tab features a longer tab for easier reach.

“The OG sneaker is our first footwear style and continues our commitment to becoming the go-to maternity wear brand for the modern mom,” says Ollie Gray founder Kate Rech. “As we offer more styles in the future, we look forward to giving women even more options that focus on function, fashion, and comfort during pregnancy and after.”

Available in OG Rose (light pink), OG Milk (cream/white) and OG Shuteye (black), the OG Sneakers will retail for $135 and come in whole and half sizes from 6 to 11. With styles available now for pre-order, the line will launch by mid-October on the brand’s site with additional colors launching early 2022.
