In The News: Twisted-X, Chaco, K-Swiss


Twisted-X is collaborating with artist Olivia Bennett on the Olivia Bennett by Twisted X footwear collection. The line will combine Twisted X’s sustainable materials and manufacturing practices with Bennett’s nature-based art. Available in two new styles for women, the collection features a high-top kick and an 11” cowboy boot. The Olivia Bennett Collection features sustainable detail such as: leatherTWX, a material composed of 80 percent recycled scrap leather; Blended Rice Husk outsoles; Blend85 footbeds made with recycled foam from factory waste; and ecoTWX uppers and ecoTWEED lining, made with fabric spun from recycled plastic bottles salvaged from oceans and landfills. Additionally, Bennett’s iconic yellow rose design will be incorporated into Tech X boots, western boots featuring Twisted X’s patent-pending CellStretch technology for ultimate comfort.

Outdoor footwear brand Chaco is once again partnering with country artist Thomas Rhett on the latest Chaco x Thomas Rhett collaboration. The line expands upon last year’s successful collab between the two, and is designed to encourage adventure. The limited-edition sandals feature the vibrant colors of the rainbow trout and the brook trout. For adults, each print will be available in the Z/1 Classic, MSRP $110; Z/2 Classic, MSRP $110; and Chillos Slide, MSRP $55. For kids, they will be available in the Z/1 Ecotread, sizes 11-5, MSRP $65. Proceeds from each children’s sandal sale will be donated to Love One International—providing access to life-saving medical care to children in Uganda; and a donation made to Trout Unlimited, a non-profit dedicated to conserving freshwater streams, rivers, and associated upland habitats for trout, salmon, and other aquatic species.

K-Swiss Global Brands announced two promotions: Scott Boulton will be moving into the newly formed position of Global Vice President of Trend and Energy to support both the K-Swiss and Palladium brands on an international scale, and Allison Bennett, previously the Sales Director for K-Swiss and Palladium, will be taking over as the new Brand Director Palladium – The Americas.
