FDRA Taps Shoe Carnival Senior Executive as Chairman
Cliff Sifford, Vice Chairman and CEO of the Shoe Carnival chain, is the new Chairman of The Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America. His appointment to the lead the footwear industry trade group took effect June 1 after being approved at a FDRA virtual board meeting on March 24. He replaces Mike Jeppesen, formerly of Wolverine Worldwide, who now serves as Ex-Officio member of the FDRA Executive Committee.
“Our industry is changing dramatically and FDRA continues to be the platform by which companies get vital information and can work together to solve common issues and challenges,” said Sifford. “We will continue to find new ways to engage and educate the industry on a variety of issues to increase efficiencies – driving our members tremendous value from design to retail.”
Other FDRA board changes include the naming of Jennifer Bendall, VP of Government and Public Affairs for Nike, as Vice Chairman and Josue Solano, BBC International CEO, as Treasurer.
