With the apparent success of its first three House of Sport stores in Rochester, NY, Knoxville, TN, and Minnetonka, MN, Dick’s Sporting Goods now plans to open at least 12 new Dick’s House of Sport stores in the next two years. Dick’s House of Sport stores are more than 100,000-plus square feet that combine retail with in-store experiences, including a climbing wall, golf bays with TrackMan simulators and cages for testing baseball, softball, lacrosse and soccer equipment. Some of the stores even have a playing field for play, clinics, league space or an ice rink in the winter season.

So team dealers and smaller retailers in these nine towns better be prepared for new stores to open this year:
