In two more significant team dealer acquisitions, BSN Sports last month acquired Billings Sports, based in Meriden, CT, and more recently Sportline Team Sports, based in Arvada, CO.

Billings Sports has served collegiate, high school, youth and recreational sports teams in Connecticut, Western Massachusetts and Rhode Island for more than 50 years. Billings Sports was founded in 1969 by Robert and Patricia Billings. The business was operated by brothers Jeff and Mike Billings until the sale to BSN.

“BSN Sports was established as a family-owned business and we are thrilled to welcome the Billings Sports sales team to our organization as a respected team sports dealer established on the same family principles and standards instilled by Robert, Patricia, Jeff and Mike,” says Terry Babilla, BSN Sports’ president.

“We are excited to join the BSN Sports family as it enables our team to continue providing outstanding service to our long-time customers with a greatly expanded product and technology platform,” says Jeff Billings, who joins BSN Sports with his brother Mike and its sales team. “The Billings family is deeply rooted in our community and will continue our over 50-year commitment to team sports for many more.”

Established in 1978, Sportline owners Bill Beyerlein and Bela Marosy will join BSN Sports through this acquisition.
