Ecco: MX Onshore

The Spring ’22 Onshore sandal has a motocross-inspired outsole and Ecco’s Fluidform technology underfoot for a sports sandal that’s ready for rugged adventure. MSRP $100.

Oboz: Wakatā Trail

Designed for camp or trail, this quick dry sandal features an adjustable strap that locks in the heel for full foot control. On-trend and outdoors-focused, it is also versatile — the sandal flips forward to converting to an easy on and off slide.

Dansko: Kandi

Constructed with over 50% I’m Green carbon negative Biobased EVA, Dansko’s Kandi is a lightweight, casual sandal featuring comfort and support in materials you can feel good about. Kahtoola: Renagaiter

Slated to hit retail in Spring ’22, the ultra-tough new RENAgaiter is designed to protect feet in any element. The gaiter features durable four-way stretch woven nylon with DWR coating that protects against dirt, debris and light precipitation, and provides breathability for high output activities. The lightweight fabric is tear and abrasion resistant and designed for use in demanding terrain. It is ideal for use on lightweight low-cut hiking shoes or boots. MSRP $49.95 (low); $59.95 (mid).

Propét: Visp

The Visp is the first trail running style from Propét. It features a Scotchgard treated precision knit and leather upper and OrthoLite X40 for high rebound performance with an elasticity rating over 40%, plus a double depth footbed for custom orthotics.  A lightweight EVA midsole pairs with a Vibram Arctic Grip three season traction outsole with Wet-Ice Technology. MSRP $119.95.

MSR: LowDown Stove Adapter

More than just an accessory, the LowDown Remote Stove Adapter amplifies the performance and versatility of all current MSR canister stoves and stove systems. Placing the stove on a low, stable base, away from the canister, allows these ultralight stoves to be used on group trips, in basecamp settings and deep in the backcountry. It makes cooking with larger pots and on uneven surfaces easier and safer.

IGNIK: Firecan

Created as a solution to rampant wildfires, this portable, propane-powered, forest-safe fire pit can replace a wood fires. It is compact and versatile, with an ammo can design. The container is made of heavy duty steel with a high temperature power coating finish for durability. Designed to deliver comfort on the trail, the Baltoro 65 offers adjustability for a custom fit and is made with sustainable materials. A FreeFloat A3 suspension system allows the hipbelt, shoulder harnesses and lower backpanel to adapt and conform to the body’s unique shape. This technical, lightweight pack has a non-submersible IPX6 rating — it is built to keep gear dry whether adventuring on foot, bike, board or boat. For Spring 2022, Therm-a-Rest is growing its fast and light collection with the addition of two new Parsec sleeping bags in 0-degree and 32-degree temperature ratings. The 100% recycled shell and liner are softer to the touch and lighter than previous versions. Sustainable 800 fill Nikwax Hydrophobic Down absorbs 90% less water and dries three times faster. Costa Antille

The Antille is part of the next generation of the brand’s Untangled Collection of sunglasses built from recycled fishing nets and other sustainable materials. The Antille features a hybrid frame with temple grips and a vented rubber nose pad to keep frames locked in place and help to reduce fogging.

Sunday Afternoons: Backdrop Boonie

For long-distance hikers and others who need extra protection without extra weight, the new Backdrop Boonie is the hat of choice. Taking cues from the brand’s Adventure Collection, its low-profile, pack-away neck cape offers extra UPF 50+ protection. And its fabric is treated with a PFAS-free water repellent finish. MSRP $48.

Sterling Rope: Xeros Technology Ropes

This new dry rope is described by climbing brand Sterling Rope as “revolutionary.” Each filament that makes up the yarn in the rope is individually coated ensuring a more even coverage of a dry rope compared to dipping a finished rope in a bath and letting it dry. In other words: Xeros is a new way to manufacture a UIAA Certified dry rope that is more effective, wear resistant, better for the environment, and at a lower cost, according to the brand.

Bertucci: A-2S Pantera Six
