In The News: Xtratuf, Twisted X, Sequential Brands Group

Xtratuf’s new Ankle Deck Boot Sport for Spring 2022 won the “New Product Showcase Best in Footwear” award from iCast 2021. The style has a sport fishing-specific silhouette with a Pro Lite outsole that is durable and slip-resistant.


Twisted X has hired Kristy Rosica as Sustainability Strategist, a new role created in 2021 to support the footwear company’s eco initiatives. In her role, Rosica will lead efforts to quantify the company’s long-term sustainability initiatives to determine additional steps to further reduce waste and meet the brand’s long-term goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2022. This includes creating lifecycle assessments that track materials all the way back to their original sources to educate partners and consumers alike.


Sequential Brands Group completed a sale of 65 percent of its ownership in DVS Footwear Intl. LLC to Elan Polo Intl. on July 19 for $2 million.


iFIT Health & Fitness has made two acquisitions this month—Sweat, a six-year-old platform for women’s health and fitness and 29029, a four-year old firm that created the category of endurance hiking events. Scott Watterson, CEO and Founder of iFIT said Sweat will allow the company to add fitness genres and modalities to its subscription business.
