Two Acquisitions Impact Team Business

Share:

There were two recent acquisitions in the team sports space that will most likely impact a portion of the business that team dealers around the country do with these organizations.

• First, 3Step Sports acquired EDP Soccer, a move that reportedly makes it the “largest owner-operator of youth soccer leagues in the United States.” Founded in 1999, EDP Soccer claims a registration of more than 130,000 youth soccer players ages five years through 22 in New England, the Mid-Atlantic, Ohio, Florida and Eastern Canada

• Then TeamSnap, a provider of sports management software and the online community for youth sports, acquired Mojo Sports, a youth sports media platform that offers instruction resources, sports team management tools, live video streaming, and multimedia content sharing for coaches, athletes and their families. In addition to TeamSnap’s sports management solutions, it will now offer Mojo’s library of games, drills, session-by-session support for youth coaches, multimedia tools, and live streaming on and off the field.
