In The News: Crocs, Oboz, Rocky Brands, Servus, Brooks

Crocs is leaning into its digital-first brand strategy, launching a new customization program for bulk orders of Classic Clogs and Jibbitz charms. The Customize Your Crocs initiative is being targeted to sports teams, corporate groups, schools, or other small and large-scale groups. Organizations can visit crocs.com/custom-crocs to design and order custom clogs and Jibbitz charms. Orders must be a minimum of 24 units each. The clogs are priced at $70.


For the first 10 days of May, outdoor footwear brand Oboz is challenging walkers, hikers, runners, and people using mobility assistive devices to get out and hike at least one mile a day. For every hike completed as part of the Oboz Fast Trail Challenge, Oboz will plant a tree and participants will receive chances to win prizes from Oboz and challenge partners. Rocky Brands announced that it has sold its Servus brand to PQ Footwear, LLC, a subsidiary of Industrias PetroQuim, SA. The transaction closed on March 30, 2023. The proceeds from the transaction were used to pay down debt. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Rocky Brands acquired Servus in March 2021 when it purchased the performance and lifestyle footwear business from Honeywell. Servus makes PVC and neoprene footwear with a focus on safety certified work boots.


Brooks Running has launched “Future Run,” an initiative to increase running access and participation for youth. An evolution of the brand’s current community impact work, Future Run aims to reach one million young runners in the U.S. with a $10 million investment over the next five years. It includes a multi-year partnership with Marathon Kids, whose free, digital goal setting and milestone tracking tool allows schools, run clubs, teams, and community organizations across the U.S. to increase physical activity and athletic self-perception among K-12 students. Brooks will also invest in regional community youth running organizations in Los Angeles,  Philadelphia,  Pittsburgh and Houston. Later this year, Brooks will launch a 2023 Future Run product collection with shoes and socks in classic varsity color combinations.
