Ellesse Collaborates with Michael Kors

Fashion brand Michael Kors is teaming up with heritage sportswear brand ellesse on a ’70s-inspired collab. Launching May 9, the 24-piece ellesse X Michael Kors capsule collection has a luxe, retro athleisure feel, and includes chunky sneakers, logo slides, neon bucket hats, track jackets and pants and vintage-style swimsuits. In the offerings, ellesse’s signature color palette of fiery oranges and reds is juxtaposed with classic shades of navy blue and crisp white.

The collab will be brought to life in a series of pop-up installations and activations around the globe, and be fronted by model Emily Ratajkowski, Brooklyn, NY rapper Jay Critch and an all-star cast. Each collection product is emblazoned with an insignia that fuses the iconic Michael Kors logo with ellesse’s tennis-and-ski-inspired emblem.

Shot in Miami, the campaign aims to celebrate the “confident, optimistic and energetic DNA” of Michael Kors and Pentland Brands-owned ellesse. Models Lexi Boling, Herzen Clerge, Lucas Ucedo along ellessee ambassador Wolftyla and Japanese internet sensation Kemio appear in the campaign alongside Ratajkowski and Critch.

Ellesse’s Global Brand Director Simon Breckon says the brand hopes “the capsule brings desirability to seasonal tennis looks off the court in a more fashion-forward, sophisticated way.”
