Cavassa Named PrimaLoft President

Former Saucony leader Anne Cavassa is joining material technology company PrimaLoft as president. Cavassa, who left her role as president at Saucony in May after five years in the position, previously held leadership positions at Brooks, Nike and Timberland. She has experience in both footwear and apparel, from product design and merchandising to customer experience, retail, and brand marketing.

“This is an ideal opportunity to bring in a proven leader to help bring PrimaLoft forward to the next level and, for me, she was the only choice,” stated Mike Joyce, PrimaLoft CEO.

Joyce will continue to lead the company as CEO, focusing on long-term strategic activities and direction. Cavassa will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations, and the two will collaborate to advance the company's growth.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the exceptional team at PrimaLoft,” said Cavassa. “What drew me to this position is the brand’s rich history of innovation, delivering outstanding performance and sustainable products. I look forward to the opportunity to work with some of the world’s best brands, and I’m particularly excited about our next phase in building brand equity and forging a strong connection with consumers."

This move comes 16 moths after PrimaLoft was acquired in July 2022 by Compass Diversified (CODI) for a purchase price of $530M. (Compass Diversified also owns dial-based fit system company BOA.) At the time, Joyce called the closing of that transaction “an important milestone in PrimaLoft’s nearly 40-year history,” noting that CODI “has the resources and partnership experience we need to advance our company to the next level.”
