Alan’s Shoes Launches Radio Show
Some people took up baking during the shutdown: Alan Miklofsky took up radio. Miklofsky, president of the Tucson, AZ-based Alan’s Shoes chain, has been hosting “Back to Business with Rob and Alan,” which airs Saturday mornings on KVOI 1030 AM The Voice, since the beginning of May. (The show is also available as a podcast.) Cohosted with Rob Davidson, owner of Davidson Advertising and a longtime friend, “Back to Business with Rob and Alan” was dedicated to helping businesses get back on track after the shutdowns. The pair have hosted guests including area business owners, advertisement and marketing professionals and local elected officials. It’s part community service, part trying something new when it comes to marketing.
“We’re getting a lot of good press and appealing to a different customer than I normally go out and seek,” Miklofsky said. “It builds an extra audience of customers, and does what I think is a community service. And it’s a lot of fun.”
