
Hiking shoes/boots (55%) and casual/comfort shoes (49%) were the next most popular answers. And these consumers overwhelmingly told us that they wear sneakers or athletic shoes for casual wear every day (71%). As for the price they said they would be willing to pay for sneak-ers for casual wear, 49% said $50-$100, followed by 30% who said $100-$150. More than a quarter of respondents said they have 6 or more pairs of sneakers in their closet. With so many color options available in casual and performance sneakers, it is interesting to note that 61% of respondents told us they prefer black or white sneakers, with 14% say-ing they prefer a bright color sneaker. Similarly, for the sole of the sneaker, 67% prefer black or white soles, with 10% telling us they opt for a bright colored sole.
