‍It’s nice to see a trade show in full swing. I commend Laura Conwell-O’Brien, executive director of the Atlanta Shoe Market, for her solid commitment to continuing to produce a show despite the ever-changing rules, restrictions and conditions, while also working to make all attendees comfortable.

I traveled to Denver for the Outdoor Retailer Show not really sure what to expect. When I got there, it was quite an eye-opener. The entire show was held on the upper level. Even that hall was not filled.

Two cities. Two hotels. Two trade shows attended. Four plane rides. Many great conversations. First, I’m thrilled trade shows are back. There is still nothing that compares to human interaction, as in face-to-face, not screen-to-screen ...

So this is what a trade show looks like, I thought to myself as I walked into the Cobb Galleria Hall. As we all know, it has been over one year since we walked the aisles of a trade show. And like everyone else, I never thought I would miss trade shows.
